It was a magical July afternoon and evening at the ARB all those many years ago. Dylan came out first and then Petty and then both together and it would
...
go back and forth like that. The Dead then came out and Jerry opened with Alabama Getaway and you knew he was in a fiesty fun mood. Dylan joining the Dead on stage was fun as well even though Dylan was pretty drunk at the time. Dylan was drunk during alot of those dylan\petty shows. Jerry's voice is strained but it is just before his big collapse in '86. But still it was a magical show with lots of great jams and the band was feeding off of the energy from the audience. Outdoors was always the best way to see the Dead!

A remarkable show not the best but in a way it was my sister turned me on. Now that's family! And with Dylan and Petty to boot. Awsome!
I remember seeing ... the Bears Dancing in the clouds while lying on the hood of a car pre show :)!
